Happy New Year and welcome back students and families.

We hope your break was joyous and safe. As we enter the second half of the school year, we want to share our focus on strengthening the academic knowledge of our students and the continuation of skill-building in our trade labs. Our teachers are refreshed and ready to work to ensure that our students are positioned for success! In the coming weeks, we will roll out the plan for additional academic support through tutoring and remediation after school as well as student working lunches to receive additional help with assignments.

Please take some time this weekend to speak with your student about the importance of attendance, tardiness, and coming to school with a mindset to focus on learning and success in both content and trade classrooms. Your partnership in this work is paramount. Together, we can remove barriers hindering the success of our students so that they can succeed!

Student Schedules Pick Up Student Schedules Pick Up

Student's new schedule for second semester will be ready for pickup on Tuesday, January 20th when they arrive at school. Stop by the main table in the Atrium to grab yours and get ready to start the new semester strong!

Pick Up Location

  • 9th Cafeteria
  • 10th Atrium
  • 11th Downstairs Hallway

Have questions about your classes or schedule? See your counselor—we're here to help make sure you're on the right track.

Tardy Policy Tardy Policy

Why Attendance Matters

In the skilled trades, being on time isn't optional—it's part of the job. Contractors who show up late lose clients. Technicians who miss appointments lose their reputation. Your future employer won't accept excuses, and neither can we.

When you're late to class, you miss important instructions, disrupt your classmates, and fall behind on hands-on work. In trade programs, where safety and skills build daily, even a few missed minutes matter.

Tardy Consequences

  • 4 tardies = 1 Day ISS
  • 7 tardies = 2 Days ISS
  • 10 tardies = Parent Conference + 1 Day OSS
  • 12 tardies = 2 Days OSS
  • 18+ tardies = Removed from your trade program

Show up on time. Set alarms. Prepare the night before. Find backup transportation. Your trade certification and future career depend on it.

Need help? Talk to your counselor or administrator. We want you to succeed, but punctuality is non-negotiable.

The habits you build today become the reputation you carry tomorrow.

Driver's Education for Aspire Students Driver's Education for Aspire Students

Getting your driver's license is an exciting milestone! While Aspire doesn't offer driver's education on campus, we want to make sure you know about the affordable options available to our students.

Aspire students can take driver's education through their "home" high school - that's the school you would attend based on your address if you were going to a traditional public school. Through Jordan Driving School, the official partner for public school driver's ed, the cost is just $65, which is significantly less expensive than private driving schools.

Flexible Options That Work for You

We know our students have busy schedules, so Jordan Driving School offers several options for the classroom portion of driver's education. In addition to regular school-day classes, they provide Saturday sessions, summer classes, and virtual options. This flexibility means you can complete your driver's education without worrying about schedule conflicts.

The program includes both classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel driving lessons, giving you everything you need to become a safe, confident driver.

To get started, visit their website at: https://www.jordandrivingschoolcharlotte.com/index.html

Driver Certificate Of Eligibility

If your student is requesting a Certificate of Eligibility, please allow two weeks for the processing to be completed. You can request a Student Certificate of Eligibility by contacting the front Office.

Please note that Same-day Certificate will not be provided.

Please remember that all lunch orders are due by Thursday at 11:45 PM each week.

Orders placed on Friday will not be included for the lunch for the up coming week.

All orders must be completed by Thursday.

Our lunch orders for the following week are placed with our lunch providers on Friday morning, so it's important to get your orders in on time to ensure your student receives their meals.
