Wow!! Thank you to everyone of our families who have make a donation to our Fundraiser. We appreciate each and every donation, as every penny counts. It looks like we are going to surpass our goal of $40,000 which is truly amazing. This will help out Coppin, our kiddos, our staff. Every classroom will receive 10% of what was donated directly back to their class. Thank you!!

I was able to share some amazing news with our Staff and our Site Council and would like to share with everyone. When a school is struggling or not showing growth, the State steps in and the school is considered an ATSI (Additional Targeted Support and Improvement) School. Once declared an ATSI School the State will come in to give advice and support and we have to monitor our growth over time and prove that we are taking measures to improve. I am happy to say that we are 2 of 7 Elementary Schools that did not qualify to be an ATSI School-woooohoooo! This is everyone's hard work to make kiddos feel valued, cared about, loved and of course a lot of learning going on. I am so proud of our amazing team and families, as this truly takes a team to help our kiddos be successful!

We need a lot of volunteers for our APEX Fundraiser. Due to the rain we have to change to indoors, but we still need a lot of volunteers. Please sign in with the office and they will direct you into our cafeteria. We need volunteers from 8:15-10:50 ish. **Since this is a one-time volunteer opportunity, you do not need a current TB test, but we still need you to sign in to the office and wear a volunteer sticker.

Spring Picture Day is scheduled for March 15th. All 5th graders will have their picture taken for their promotion. All other students will only have their picture taken if parents purchase picture packages. All payment is due by 9am the morning of pictures. Flyers went home earlier this week!

TK is out at 11:25 or 11:45 if they have lunch, Kinder is out at 1:40, and 1st- 5th is out at 2:40 every day and 1:40 on Mondays. Please be sure to pick your students up on time as there is no supervision for the after school hours.

If you do not clear your students absence within 3 DAYS, it will be marked unexcused. Please remember to send in a message to the front office or call the front office when your student is absent.

If your student is late and has to come through the office a parent or guardian MUST SIGN THEM IN. If the student is not signed in they will be marked absent. The gate closes at 8:13 am and students need to be in their seats by 8:15 am.

In the spring we will be putting out information regarding updating emergency card and other info. This will need to be done through your Parent Portal. Please make sure that you have your portal set up as soon as possible.
