Important Transportation Information

• Please send a note in your child's folder ANY time there is a change in transportation. Even if you have told me in person, I need to have a handwritten note to give to the office.

  • No changes of transportation can be accepted over email. Changes during the school day must be made in writing to the office and received by 1:30 each day.

• Any kids staying after school for clubs must have a written transportation change for that day. Please send a note EACH DAY that they are staying for ASP enrichment. This cuts down on confusion if there is ever a substitute teacher in the class.

Thank you!

Ask Me What I am Learning!!! Ask Me What I am Learning!!!

·

  • Ask how the weather has changed over the course of 8 weeks

  • What types of precipitation have we seen over the course of 8 weeks?

  • How do the meteorologists use their tools/instruments to make predictions about the weather?

Our Grade Level Learning Targets!!!!

Ask me what I’m learning!

Math- I can add and subtract within 100.

Writing- I can write a narrative writing piece.

Daily 5/Language Arts- I can retell a story identifying the central message.

Phonics- I can read letter blends and spell familiar words.

IB Unit: Location and weather patterns impact people. I can identify how different weather patterns impact animals and plants.

Grammar: I can write stories with correct punctuation

Here are some helpful hints for helping with IB units:

  • Ask your child to describe the weather and what they should wear
  • Look at maps (any kind!)
  • Check the weather
  • Go on Google Earth (so cool)
  • Ask how the weather has changed over the course of 2 weeks
  • What signals do we have for the change in seasons?

  • Check out Google Maps/Weather for updates on weather conditions

SEESAW

Did you know that Seesaw has activities your child can do on the app? YES- Seriously!

When you log into Seesaw, check ‘activities’ for extra, fun things you can do outside of the classroom while still having fun learning.

If you have not already linked to the Seesaw app, talk to your child’s teacher about getting that information.
