Dear Washington Catholic Schools Families,
Welcome to a new school year! Whether your family has been part of Washington Catholic Schools for generations or you are joining us for the first time, I want to extend my warmest welcome.
As many of you know, I began serving as President of Washington Catholic Schools late this spring. While I've spent the past several months getting to know our students, faculty, parishioners, and many families, I realize there are still many parents I have not yet had the opportunity to meet. I look forward to changing that in the months ahead. One of my greatest hopes is to build strong relationships with our families, because the education of a child is always a partnership between school and home.
At Washington Catholic Schools, our mission extends far beyond preparing students for college or careers. We are called to help form young men and women of faith, character, wisdom, and service. We strive for excellence in the classroom, growth in faith, and a school culture where every student is known, challenged, and loved.
As we prepare for another exciting year, I encourage every family to stay connected by reading our newsletters and other school communications through email and our app. They will contain important information about upcoming events, schedules, and reminders to help everyone begin the year successfully, including details regarding our revised school uniform policy. Our uniform is one way we foster a culture of respect, responsibility, and pride in Washington Catholic Schools, and we appreciate your partnership in helping students come to school each day ready to learn.
I know the beginning of a new school year brings a mixture of excitement, anticipation, and perhaps even a few butterflies. Please know that every member of our faculty and staff is committed to helping each student grow academically, spiritually, socially, and personally. Together, we can make this a year filled with discovery, friendship, faith, and joy.
Thank you for entrusting your children to Washington Catholic Schools. It is a privilege to serve this community, and I look forward to meeting many of you at school events, Masses, performances, athletic contests, and around campus throughout the year.
