Principal's Message
Construction & Parking
Good morning WBS families,
Greetings from the office. I wanted to take this opportunity to update you on our construction project. We currently have four classrooms under renovation and our big addition out the back of the school has a poured foundation and all of the under ground work is moving a long as scheduled. I am pleased to share that we are on track with our deadlines and I am confident that we will be moving in a positive direction as the project moves into the next phase.
As you all know, parking has been our biggest challenge during this project. On a regular school day, we have about ten to fifteen open spots for visitors and guests. The parking challenges will change the way we do some school wide events this school year. An example of this is how we shifted to a virtual Back to School Night.
Moving forward, I can share that we are committed to honoring the traditions that make WBS such a special place. We will continue to have ample opportunities for parents to come in and volunteer on a smaller scale, such as, the book fair, mystery readers, apple day, career day, field day shorts, holiday shop, pretzel days, fifth grade celebration, bunny bakery, veterans day celebration and many more! We will also continue to honor our school wide traditions such as school socials, however, we will not be able to park volunteers for large, school wide events. I encourage you to take advantage of the many other opportunities we have for you to volunteer at school. Your child's teacher will communicate via their newsletters when those opportunities arise.
As the school year progresses, we will continue to look for ways to stream events if possible. Stay tuned for more information on that.
Have a wonderful week and please reach out if you have questions. We are here to help!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Susan Hadfield, Principal

Youβll run one game station for the full 45-minute block (up to 3 groups per session, ~10 minutes each with some time left to complete a game in progress). Classroom teachers will be outside with their classes, but you will lead the activity.
Activity descriptions can be found as you navigate the form (so you know what youβre getting into!). Thank you all who attended our Community Event at Branch Creek Taphouse on October 11th! We are looking to host more events like this in the future, so if you have any suggestions or recommendations, please send them to us!
πIf able, please join us at our next meeting on Tuesday, November 11th at 7:00pm in the library. Childcare will be provided at no cost.
πHankering for some pizza or a good cheesesteak? Skip making dinner on Tuesday, November 4th and visit Broad Street Italian Cuisine and Pizzeria for another fundraiser. You can dine-in or carry-out; please just make sure to mention WBS!
πWe will be hosting our staff appreciation breakfast for all of our wonderful folks at WBS on Tuesday, November 25th. We will be posting a sign-up sheet for donation soon!
πHoliday Shop is almost upon us! On December 11th and 12th, the students will have the opportunity to purchase affordable gifts for their families and loved ones. We are going with a new and improved vendor this year, so we are really excited about the new supplies. We will need lots of help with this event; please considering volunteering! We will be posting a sign-up sheet for help soon!
