Brooker Creek Elementary Newsletter - October 19, 2026
Principal's Message
Dear Brooker Creek Families,
Thank you to all of our BCE families for supporting tonight’s Fall Festival! I am looking forward to seeing everyone for an evening of fun, fellowship, and celebration of our wonderful school community.
Throughout October, Mrs. Gerber and I are continuing to visit classrooms to speak with students about our ROARS Expectations, Bully Prevention Tips, and the importance of treating one another with kindness and respect. These conversations reinforce our commitment to creating a safe, welcoming, and positive learning environment where Every Bobcat Counts!
Next week, Brooker Creek will partner with our PTA to kick off this year’s Paws on the Pavement Fundraiser! Thank you in advance to all of our families who are able to participate and help support student recognition programs, curriculum needs, and other initiatives that enhance the educational experience for our Bobcats.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support in making Brooker Creek such a PAWsome place to learn and grow!

BCE PTA Fall Festival Reminders
National School Lunch Week
The Brooker Creek Elementary Staff and students' wants to recognize and thank our amazing Food Services team during this week's National School Lunch Week. Our team of 3 does an amazing job each day feeding over 400 meals to our students each day. Thank you.
BCE is Going Pink!!
Brooker Creek Elementary staff is showing their support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month by proudly wearing pink each Wednesday throughout October! Their participation helps raise awareness and demonstrates our school's commitment to supporting this important cause. Bobcats look great in PINK!
October - National Bully Prevention Month
We encourage all of our Bobcats to be UPSTANDERS! An upstander is someone who recognizes when another person is being treated unkindly and chooses to take positive action by showing kindness, offering support, or seeking help from a trusted adult. When we choose to be upstanders instead of bystanders, we help create a safe, caring, and welcoming school community where EVERY BOBCAT COUNTS!
Below are some simple, meaningful ways you can encourage your students to be upstanders and make a positive difference in the lives of others. Please take a few moments to share and discuss these strategies with your students as we work together to create a school community where EVERY BOBCAT COUNTS!
BE A FRIEND!
If you see someone being bullied, show them they are not alone.
BE BRAVE!
If you witness bullying, don't join in or encourage it.
SPEAK UP!
Tell the person to stop and then tell a trusted adult.
KEEP THE CONVERSATION GOING AT HOME!
Families, take a moment to ask your child: "What would you do if you saw someone being bullied?" Talking about kindness, empathy, and standing up for others helps our Bobcats make positive choices every day.
Remember: Be an Upstander, Not a Bystander!
At Brooker Creek Elementary, we look out for one another because EVERY BOBCAT COUNTS!
