#OneTeamOneDream

Issue 3

September 5, 2023

Hi Cirby Families,

I hope you were all able to enjoy your three day weekend! The start to the academic year has been incredibly smooth and it's heartwarming to see our Eagles settling into their routines with enthusiasm. I want to express my gratitude toward the dedicated teachers, staff and parents for their support in making the transition from summer to school seamless. Together, we can create an environment where every student can thrive. We have lots of great things happening at Cirby already! We have field trips getting planned, students visiting the garden, and our 5th grade Ambassadors helping all of our Eagles around campus.

The safety of staff and students remains my top priority. We are continuing to follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a nurturing campus for everyone. Please continue to monitor your child's health and keep them home if they show any signs of illness. Thank you for getting your student/s here to school on time, everyday. We've already seen a great improvement in our attendance numbers. Way to go Eagle Families!
Cirby values the partnership between parents and school. Your involvement in your child's education plays an important role in their success. We encourage parents to join our PTC to help volunteer with the many fun events we have scheduled for the year! The first meeting will be Thursday, September 7th at 6pm in the Nest.

As we dive into another year, let's embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. I am confident that with hard work, dedication, and collaboration, we will achieve remarkable outcomes. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you have questions or suggestions.

Warm Regards,

Farah Friend | Principal

Staff Spotlight 🔦

MRS. CAPACHI 😊

I am excited to be starting my 29th year of teaching for the Roseville City School District, and 17 of those years have been here at Cirby! My heart is here in the Cirby Community. I have taught all grades K-4th and have been a Reading Intervention teacher. I have to say my favorite grade level to teach is Kindergarteners–their excitement for learning is contagious! One thing about teaching is that even though my own 2 children have grown and flown, I still have a nest filled with children! I love to try new things, and this summer I have learned to play pickleball! Every chance I get I spend outdoors and enjoy camping, hiking, fishing and kayaking. My mini dachshund, Tito, is the captain of my kayak!
