COMPUTER POP-UP SCAM WARNING COMPUTER POP-UP SCAM WARNING

📣 Several Fake Alerts Occurred this Week!

Malware and virus scams have been reported this week at Celeste ISD. This is a fraudulent attempt to steal money or personal information by showing fake alerts about a virus or security threat by locking down the screen on your device. These scams use deceptive pop-up messages, emails, or websites that look like they are from Microsoft or other credible entities. Scammers will often provide a fake phone number to "support" to gain remote access to your computer, install malware, or trick you into making fraudulent payments. Some of these pop-ups have loud alarms to cause panic or fear.

To protect yourself, never call numbers on these fake alerts, and always contact a Celeste ISD technology specialist to report the scam.

STUDENTSQUARE REGISTRATION IS COMPLETE STUDENTSQUARE REGISTRATION IS COMPLETE

High School and Jr High Students are Registered for StudentSquare

CHS and CJHS students can direct message teachers and staff that are associated with their classes. They are not able to message their families or other students through StudentSquare. Since they do not have cell phones in school, they will have to check StudentSquare in ClassLink and sign in with Google SSO or get notifications through school Gmail during the school day.
