Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back! It has been a great start to the half term and I have been really impressed with how the children have returned.

This week has been a busy one with meetings and training, but I’ve still managed to spend some time outside on lunch and break duties. It’s been lovely chatting with the children and supporting them as they find their voices and learn to resolve issues positively.

Our wonderful OPAL team went to view a Platinum OPAL school on one of the training days and have returned with lots of fantastic ideas. The Friends of Kirk Fenton committee have agreed the quote for welly storage and this is currently being processed. The OPAL team have created some more new areas from parent and community donations and the children will be going on the field on a rota basis until we have our welly storage built so please ensure they have wellies and a waterproof coat at school. I look forward to paying a visit to the ‘hairdressers’ and watching a show on the new stage afterwards!

Christmas will be here before we know it (sorry!) so I have added all of the dates as events on Dojo. They will also come on the weekly newsletter and I will put a list up in Reception. We have lots of great things coming up including Birds of Prey (thanks to FoKF), Panto, Christmas Fair, Nativity, Discos, Movies, crafts, carols and church service. Thank you for supporting us to make these things happen!

Wishing you all a lovely weekend
