Weekly Update 3-6

Dear Oak Brook Families,

Thank you to everyone who supported our PTO through our auction. The auction was a great success, and the PTO puts every dime raised back into our school to support our students and teachers. We look forward to seeing many of you tomorrow at our annual trivia night. As always thank you to all of the volunteers who make these events happen so our PTO can continue supporting our school community.

Our third grade students will be performing their musical "It's a Hit" on Tuesday. To help cheer them on, we will have a school-wide spirit day. On Tuesday, please have your child wear his/her favorite baseball or team jersey. If they don't have one, they could wear an Oak Brook shirt.

Trivia Night

INFO FOR WEEKLY UPDATE:

The countdown is ON. Trivia Night is tomorrow, and we are SOLD OUT!

Doors open at 6:30pm and Trivia begins at 7:00pm

Now’s the time to rally your team, lock in your strategy, and scrounge up some lunch money!

Pick your table theme or dress up! Whether you go full costume, coordinated colors, or school spirit theme, we want to see it. You could be the goth table, the jocks, the cheerleaders, you name it. The more creative, the better!

PRIZES YOU CAN WIN

Best Themed Table / Best Dressed Team - Bring the energy. Bring the creativity. Which team will be the best execution of our "high school lunchroom" theme?
1st Place Trivia Champions - Ultimate bragging rights + a (small) prize worthy of your genius status.
Last Place (Yes, Really!) - Because sometimes losing in style deserves its own reward. Last place means your entire team will take home the can of lunchroom mystery meat!

MINI GAMES GALORE

Bring those dollars, support the PTO, and have some good high-school-flashback fun!

Science Night

Please join us for Science night on Tuesday, March 24. Oak Brook students will get to do fun and engaging hands on activities related to chemistry, biology, and physics! This year we will have two 'sessions' - to provide flexibility for families and allow more students to participate! Students will rotate through several rooms/activities on a set schedule. Please see the sign up link, and sign up each student based on their current grade level and also based on which 'session' you will attend.

There will be High School helpers and a parent volunteer leading Oak Brook students through each activity. We encourage parents of younger students to stay with their child if possible. Older students may be dropped off. We would also love for you to sign up as a Parent helper in a room! This is an easy job and we need parent volunteers to help things run smoothly. We can't wait to see you at Science Night!
