Please be on the look out from information from your child's teachers about the 100th Day of School

Attendance

A reminder regarding student attendance: Per Mendham Borough Board of Education regulation 5200, "A day in session shall consist of not less than four hours, exclusive of recess and lunch periods." A student who arrives late or leaves early and does not meet the four hour minimum will be marked absent. Students must be present for a full day (at least 4 hours of instruction).Furthermore, a student that is absent for any reason( excused or unexcused) for 18 school days is considered chronically absent.

Late to school or absent

Please email or call Nurse Kaitlyn to inform the school if your child will be absent or late to school. Any child that arrives after 8:35 must be signed in by their parent/guardian.

Pick Up Patrol

Please note that any changes regarding your child’s dismissal plan MUST be entered in Pick-Up Patrol. After 1:00 p.m. any changes must be called into the main office. Staff will send your child to the designated area as specified in the daily dismissal report.

We are excited to welcome next year’s kindergarten students to Hilltop School. If your child is not already enrolled in our Preschool program, please pre-register them here. Please have the following documents printed out and completed to upload during the online pre-registration process:

• Residency Packet

• Health Assessment Record

• Universal Health Record (completed by physician) and Immunization Record

• Entrance Form (Kindergarten Only)

• Dental Exam (Kindergarten Only)

In addition, please make sure to upload the following original and most recent documents:

• Your child's birth certificate

Three (3) of the following:

• Mortgage Statement

• Certificate of Occupancy

• Homeowner's or Renter’s Insurance

• Tax Bill

• Lease

• Deed

• Gas or Electric bill

• Due to the snow day, delayed opening, and absences all Mid-Year Data will be shared by Friday 2/6.

• The Mid-Year Dibels Benchmark will be uploaded into the Parent Portal in Genesis.

• Grades 1-2 EL Education Microphases will be sent home with a letter attached. Kindergarten EL Education Microphases will be sent home later in February.

• Grades 3-4 Common Lit Mid-Year Benchmark Assessment will be sent home with a letter.

• One Book, One School with Fenway and Hattie will start on Monday, February 2nd. An email will be sent home with more information.

All Fourth Grade students are invited to this year's GLOW Much Fun being held on Friday, February 6th from 6:30 to 8pm in the Hilltop Gym, with a snow date of Friday, February 20th.
