Culinary Arts Students Host Mock Food Truck

This week, students in Mrs. Morse's Culinary Arts class hosted a mock food truck as the capstone project for the course. The theme, "The Flying Fork," featured a variety of dishes created by the students, including a Croque Monsieur, a classic French sandwich made with two slices of bread (typically white or mild French bread) filled with ham and melted cheese, then grilled to a golden, crispy perfection and topped with a rich béchamel sauce. Other menu items included Greek gyros made with local gyro meat from Poppy Farms, an Egyptian fruit salad, and a Japanese soup. For dessert, there was a delicious chocolate brownie, and dine-in guests enjoyed complimentary chips and salsa. This event gave students the chance to hone not only their culinary skills but also their hospitality and customer service.

Cold Weather Student Preparedness

With the colder weather here, it is important that students do NOT arrive to school before the doors open at 7:30am. Students are not allowed in the building prior to the doors being opened. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. They can always change once they arrive at school, but should have warmer clothes to and from school and to keep in their locker.

For our bus riders also, please make sure your child is dressed for the weather as bus emergencies can and do happen. It is best to always be prepared! Thank you!

New Omro High School Counselor - Heather LaFleur

Hello Omro High School Families!

My name is Heather LaFleur and I am the new School Counselor here at Omro High School. I am super excited to be here! A little bit about me and my family. My husband's name is Josh and we will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary in 2025. We have a daughter named Megan and she is 22 years old and she graduated from UW Green Bay last year. She is interested in Counseling as well, but she is taking a little break and will head back to school next Fall for her Master’s. We have a son named Sam and he is 19 years old. He is still undecided on what he wants to be when he grows up, so he is working full time and saving all of his money for school in the future. We have a Golden Retriever named Phoebe and she is 1.5 years old. She is the sweetest girl and we all love her so much. We love to spend time together as a family and travel and just hang out with each other.

I am really looking forward to meeting all of you! Have a safe and happy holiday season!
