GREAT NEWS from around the District
Elementary:
- If you weren't able to see our annual Halloween Parade, just wait. We have plenty of smiles to share with you!
- Mr. Guerrero’s science class has adopted a cow through the Adopt-A-Cow program! Students will get to follow their calf’s growth and development over the next several months, learning firsthand about animal care, agriculture, and life on a working farm.
- Camp was an amazing experience for our students and staff. From climbing the rock wall and braving the high ropes course to canoeing, archery, cooking lunch over a fire they built, and even earning a visit from Pinky by working together to reduce food waste, our Bellevue students made lifelong memories together.
- We want to thank the BES team, PTO, and volunteers who made a very busy Tuesday with Math Night, Basketball Jones, and a Haunted house a very successful and fun-filled day.
- The 6th grade students will be traveling to the Jr/Sr High School for a sneak peek of our Drama Club's performance at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 7th.
Jr/Sr:
- If you haven't had the chance to talk to your 7th grade about the BWL trip or your 8th grader about the MiCareer Quest, ask them! It was a ton of fun and extremely informational regarding future opportunities for our students post-secondary.
- Thank you for all of those who attended the FAFSA completion Workshop on 10/30. We hope that you found it beneficial.
- We had so much fun during our spirit week which ended with a costume contest and games today. We can't wait to share the pictures with our families!
District:
- Consider supporting the new Drama club on November 7th or 8th at the High School at 6:30pm with a production of "Knock Knock"!
- We are excited to plan, present, and participate in the first ever County-Wide Professional Development on November 4th hosted at Harper Creek Public Schools.
- We are being recognized by MiMTSS for NUMEROUS awards for this past year. Stay tuned for the official recognition.
Bellevue Community,
As we close out the last week of October, I want to take a moment to thank the students, staff, and families for all the effort and energy you’ve put into this school year. It’s hard to believe we’re already heading into November!
October brought plenty of activity across the district, including student events, parent-teacher conferences, fall sports, and learning every day. Through it all, our staff continues to show incredible dedication, and our students continue to make us proud.
As we turn the page to November, let’s keep the momentum going. There’s a lot to look forward to, and it’s always exciting to see the progress our students make as the year moves along.
Thank you for everything you do to make Bellevue a great place to learn and grow. Enjoy the weekend and the start of a new month ahead!

BELLEVUE BAND
Wednesday afternoon was an active day for the instrumental music department! Our high school band students came over and did a combined rehearsal with the beginning band. The students enjoyed the opportunity to come together collectively and experience music. The high school band did a great job modeling proper performance and instrument positioning while the beginning band showed the high schoolers that they have what it takes to play along.
This combined rehearsal finished up quickly as we moved the high school band into the elementary gym to give an all school performance of our pep band tunes.
Both audience and musicians did an outstanding job and had a fantastic time. Way to go, Broncos!
Subject: Safety and Awareness in Our Schools
Bellevue Community,
Please remind students that if they see or hear something that doesn’t seem right, whether in person, online, or through social media, they should report it immediately to a trusted adult, staff member, or the police. Even if something feels minor, it’s always better to speak up and let us investigate.
It’s also important to talk with your students about the seriousness of making false threats. These situations are treated with the same level of urgency as real ones and can carry serious consequences. Every report, real or not, impacts our schools, our staff, and our community.
We’re grateful for the ongoing partnership between our schools, families, and local law enforcement in keeping our campuses safe. It truly takes all of us working together to maintain a secure and supportive learning environment.
Thank you for continuing to look out for one another and for your commitment to our students’ safety and well-being.
Take care,
Eric McCalla
