O'Dell Families,
Porch visits were a HUGE success! We loved seeing our students and touring the O'Dell neighborhood. My apologies to anyone that was missed. Everyone should be able to see their teachers in Skyward on Monday. There were some issues with Skyward on Friday and hope to have it corrected.
Meet the Teacher is Monday, August 10th from 5:30-7:00 p.m. (Last Name A-L, 5:30-6:15 p.m. & Last Name M-Z, 6:15-7:00 p.m.). We ask that you follow the schedule to limit our numbers in the building at one time. Please make sure you are parked in a parking space and not in the fire lane in the front or back parking lots.
Please complete your Back to School forms in Skyward ASAP and turn in any documents missing to ensure your registration is complete to ensure students are able to attend the first school of school.
Grade Level Parent Orientations, K-4, will begin the week of August 17th and will be held Monday–Wednesday from 5:30–6:30 p.m. Please note: Orientations are for PARENTS ONLY. This allows all parents to fully participate and receive important information about their child’s grade level, classroom expectations, procedures, and the upcoming school year.
O'Dell FAQ's have been added to include updated arrival & dismissal procedures. I encourage everyone to review the updated FAQ's and arrival and dismissal procedures before the first day of school. Parents will receive 2 car tags at Meet the Teacher or 1st Day of School. Parents are asked to use our car tag system on Wednesday, August 12th. Please throw away old car tags and use the 26-27 car tags.
We can't wait to see everyone at Meet the Teacher - don't forget to bring your supplies!

Child Nutrition - Free and Reduced Lunch Application, Lunch Accounts
A new Free and Reduced form must be filled out and submitted for approval each new school year. Please complete your free and reduced applications in School Cafe here: https://www.schoolcafe.com/CELINAISD.
Applications will start being processed and approved on July 22, 2026. The grace period will end September 27, 2026. Students will revert to paid status if a new free and reduced application is not submitted and approved by the grace period. Parents will be responsible for unpaid meal charges.
New Student Lunch Account: Please have your child bring their lunch or lunch money with them to school on the 1st day, or set up an account prior to the first day of school. Parents can monitor your students' accounts and place restrictions on their meal accounts in the school cafe https://www.schoolcafe.com/CELINAISD.
As a reminder students with a lunch balance from last year will roll over to this year! Please add funds to your child's account before the first day of school.
COMING SOON - Want to see your child's name up in LIGHTS?
Celebrate your child’s birthday or half-birthday in lights! For $20.00, your child’s name will be displayed on the O’Dell Elementary marquee for their special day! If your child has a summer birthday, it can be celebrated on their half-birthday (six months prior to the real birthday).
