DFP Family Update

October 10, 2025

DFP Family UpdateOctober 10, 2025

Dear Feeney Families,

This week was all about fire safety at DFP. Students learned vocabulary including ladder, engine, hose, escape, and hydrant. Classrooms had discussions about calling 911 in case of emergency, read books about fire trucks, and dressed as fire fighters in the dramatic play area. You may see the "flames" your student created in art by combining red and yellow paint to make orange. Our students are engaged in all aspects of their day and enjoy exploring the new activities. We encourage you to use your child's weekly newsletter, Class Dojo, and Photocircle photos to continue the conversation at home about fire safety.

Enjoy your weekend.

Warmly,

Julie Martin

As Cooler Temperatures Arrive... As Cooler Temperatures Arrive...

As the weather grows cooler, a gentle reminder to please label your child's clothing - sweatshirts, coats, etc. Layers are great this time of year and we want to be sure everything is returned to you! Also sneakers are ideal footwear for the preschool.

We Love Books at DFP!

Our preschool is raising funds to grow our classroom libraries with high-quality books that spark curiosity, imagination, and a love of reading. Having a wide variety of books allows every child to see themselves reflected in stories, explore new ideas, and build early literacy skills that are the foundation for lifelong learning. With your support, we can place more books into the hands of our youngest learners and create joyful reading experiences every day.
