The Buccaneers Bulletin

Remember: Monday is a Teacher Workday, no school for students. And next Monday is parent-teacher conference day…please reach out to your child’s teachers this week to set up a conference. Students have a better chance to be successful when parents and teachers work together to support the same goals.

We need our students to arrive by 7:40 AM each morning as they are required to be in class by the 7:45 bell. Being five minutes late each day greatly reduces instructional time and becomes a distraction to the learning environment. Being five minutes early each day gets our students better prepared and enhances their opportunities to be successful.

This week at PCIS…

Monday: our volleyball team will play Manteo at home in the conference semi-finals at 5:00 PM.

Tuesday and Thursday: boys basketball workouts after school.

Wednesday: is Unity Day, please wear orange and be kind to others. Wrestling workouts after school.

Friday: College & Career Day…wear college or career gear to school.

Let’s have an amazing four days this week!

Respect is one of the most important ways we show others that they matter. At PCIS, being respectful means using kind words, listening when others are speaking, following directions, taking care of our school, and treating everyone the way we would want to be treated...it cost nothing, but is very valuable. Remember, you never know what someone else may be going through, so choose kindness whenever you can. A smile, a helping hand, or a simple “thank you” can make someone’s day better. Every day, you have the opportunity to make PCIS a place where everyone feels valued, safe, and included...make me proud by being respectful each day. Let’s show respect, make positive choices, and RISE as One!
