Literacy Celebration time is almost here. . .
Dear Timberwolves Families
We want to give a huge shout-out to over 50 Upper Elementary students who applied to join our TBA-sponsored Student Run Credit Union. The TBA team has never had such a large pool of amazing applicants, and we are proud of our scholars for putting their best foot forward and taking the time to interview and complete applications.
The following students will serve on this year’s credit union team: Max R., Nora B., Basil R., Frances O-S., Nicholas G., Annabelle H., Chole C., Wyatt H., Evelyn P., William P., Ivanna W., Emersyn A., Nolan N., Nolan M., Rilla M., & Lucy S. They will learn their positions and have their first training on November 4th. Congratulations!
Please note that TCAPS elementary schools will now be using a Google Form permission slip for all field trips. Teachers will likely link these in their weekly class newsletters or send a separate email explaining the trip details. If your child does not have a form response on file, they are not able to attend the trip. If you need a paper form, please let your teacher know, and they will print it for you to complete and return before the trip. As always, keep an eye on your email for important school-related information.
Next Friday, we will celebrate literacy with our first HOWL spirit-award assembly, Move-a-Thon prize ceremony, and a costume showcase. Instead of traditional Halloween celebrations, TCAPS Montessori celebrates with costumes connected to a book. Your scholar’s lead guide will reach out with when and how costumes may be worn at school. Please keep the following in mind:
We have a no candy policy at our school.
Students may not wear masks, violent/distracting face paint, or carry any violent or weapon-type props with their costumes. If students come to school with these items, they will be kept t in the office until the end of the day for parents to pick them up.
Many classrooms will celebrate with a fun snack, special craft or art project, and presentations on books and costumes.
Perhaps we'll see you at the BIG game tonight!
Go Trojans and Go Titans,
Tracy
