Your Input Needed: 2026-2027 Academic Calendar Feedback

Dear PISD Families,

We invite your feedback on the proposed 2026-2027 academic calendar for Prosper ISD. Please take a moment to review the calendar and share your thoughts—your input helps us create a schedule that works best for our entire school community.

This calendar was developed after carefully listening to feedback from the District Improvement Committee, which included input from both staff and parents. Below are some key highlights of the proposed calendar:

Full week for Thanksgiving Break (November 23-27) – allowing time for travel and family gatherings
Extended Fall Break (October 12-13, combined with the Columbus Day weekend)
Week-long Spring Break (March 15-19) – aligned with many Texas college schedules for families with older students
Multiple long weekends throughout the year (Labor Day, MLK Day, and others)

First Day of School: Tuesday, August 11, 2026
Last Day of School: Wednesday, May 20, 2027
