Hull High School Newsletter
October 31, 2025 🎃
Greetings Hull High School students and families!
The end of October! Wow! How did that happen so quickly?!
Believe it or not, today is the last day of the first quarter. You can find details below about report card release date and Parent/Teacher Conferences. Parents: conferences offer a valuable opportunity to connect, discuss your child's progress, and work together to support their success. You will have the chance to meet any or all of your child's teachers. Please come with any questions or topics you would like to address, as these conversations play a vital role in fostering a strong school-family partnership. You will find the link to the appointment scheduler below in the section on Parent/Teacher Conferences.
Students: Use the transition from first to second quarter to do some self-reflection Think about what went well, where you grew, and what you might want to approach differently in the weeks ahead. Every new quarter is a fresh opportunity to set goals, try new strategies, and keep moving forward.
Stay focused, support one another, and keep striving to do your best!
The change in the calendar also means we enter an exciting stretch in fall season athletics. Best of luck to all of our teams playing in some very meaningful November contests from now to Thanksgiving!
Thanks for reading ... and have a safe and very Happy Halloween!

Expanding Opportunities for Students Through Pathways
Hull High School is one of 26 Massachusetts high schools to receive funding to develop an Innovation Career Pathway. The state's press release is available here. This funding includes both planning and implementation grants for schools to create and strengthen programs that help students connect classroom learning to real-world opportunities. Hull's Pathway will focus on Business/Entrepreneurship/Marketing and will be anchored by the Introduction to Business elective we are running for the first time this year. We aim to use this program as a model for other potential Pathways in STEM, arts, and more, as part of our effort to expand exciting, engaging, hands-on learning opportunities for all students!
November 12 HHS Parent/Principal Meeting
Parents and caregivers are invited to the monthly Parent/Principal Meeting in the Exhibition Room on Wednesday, November 12 at 6 PM.
Students Celebrate Mole Day with Science and Spirit!
Last Thursday, October 23rd, all Chemistry classes celebrated the "chemistry holiday" Mole Day, which celebrates the chemistry unit of the mole, 6.02 x 10^23 particles. This number is also known as Avogadro's number, named for one of the scientists who helped lay the foundation for the concept of the mole, which transformed the field of chemistry in the 1800s. Moles are important because they allow us to compare the quantity of matter in samples of different substances. Intro chem classes made mole stuffed animals and chemistry-themed shrinky-dink jewelry and keychains, and AP students tie-dyed class T-shirts (to be worn for unit tests and the AP exam in May) using tie dyes they made themselves the day before.
