Homeland Security
This program includes Law Enforcement, Firefighting and Related Protective Services, Other (CIP 43.9999) which will encompass safety procedures, criminal justice system, law enforcement, private security management, corrections - adult and juvenile systems, homeland security, communications, incident command system, patrol duties, fire fighting emergency services, and hazardous material awareness.
General Education
This program will prepare students to transition to college for a teacher preparation major. Classes will cover the general theory and practice of learning and teaching, the basic principles of educational psychology, the art of teaching, the planning and administration of educational activities, school safety and health issues, and the social foundations of education.
