Dear Families,

As we wrap up the first quarter, we have so much to celebrate at Holy Trinity! We are looking forward to our upcoming Fall Assembly, where we will recognize our Junior High Star Students and honor our fall sports teams.

We are so proud of our fall athletes! Congratulations to our 8th grade volleyball team, the first HT volleyball team to win a championship! Our 7th and 8th grade football team finished the regular season undefeated before falling to St. Hilary's in the tournament. We are incredibly proud of all they accomplished and look forward to next season! Our cross country teams also had a successful year, and we are proud of this large group of dedicated athletes who demonstrated perseverance, teamwork, and school spirit. We look forward to celebrating all our fall teams at the assembly!

We are also excited to welcome our ghosts and goblins for Trunk or Treat and Haunted Halls on Thursday, October 29! Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we rescheduled this much-anticipated event. We know our 8th graders and their families have put so much time and effort into making it a fun Halloween tradition, and we cannot wait to celebrate with everyone!

As we enjoy the fun and excitement of Halloween, we also take time to remember the deeper meaning of our Catholic faith. All Saints' Day, celebrated on November 1, honors all the saints who have gone before us and reminds us that we are all called to live holy lives, following Jesus through our everyday words and actions.

We look forward to our Avon Catholic Community coming together to celebrate Fall Fest Nov. 1.

As we celebrate the saints, we also remember our loved ones who have passed away and hold them close in our prayers. November is a special time in the Church to pray for the faithful departed and reflect on the hope we have in Christ and the promise of eternal life. May we continue to Live Different! Love Like Jesus! as we honor those who have shown us the way of faith.

A Few Reminders:

  • November Lunch Orders: Please submit your November lunch orders by October 31.

  • VIRTUS Training: For anyone who still needs to complete VIRTUS training, the registration link is always available at the bottom of this newsletter. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe environment for our students.

Thank you for being such an important part of our Holy Trinity family. We hope you enjoy a wonderful fall weekend filled with family, faith, and a little Halloween fun!

Live Different,

Mr. Kaufhold and Ms. Flanagan

A Journey Into the Past A Journey Into the Past

We welcomed the Cleveland Museum of Natural History to our 4th-grade classes. Students had the opportunity to explore fascinating artifacts and fossils, while learning about ancient history and the science of archaeology.

This hands-on learning experience brought history to life as our students discovered clues about the past and learned how scientists uncover and study the stories of ancient worlds. What an exciting opportunity to spark curiosity and inspire our young explorers!

Cub Scout Pack 3462 recently participated in their Fall Campout (Oct. 17).

Even though they decided to skip the overnight due to chilly weather, the sun was out all day and nearly 20 scouts (+ siblings and families) enjoyed many activities (a hike around the campground, rocket launches, a campfire and smores, and a taco bar with all the fixings for dinner).

If your child is in K-4 and interested in joining Scouts (and the great outdoors), please email Erich Papesch papesch@yahoo.com for more information.
