What's Happening at West!
October 2026
Meet Assistant Principal Josh Joriman
Message from Assistant Principal Josh Joriman
Hello Middle School West Families,
Welcome to the 2026-27 school year at STMA Middle School West! My name is Josh Joriman, and I am honored to introduce myself and serve as your Assistant Principal.
While the role is new, my family and I have been a part of this district over the last decade. Prior to this new opportunity, I taught Social Studies at STMA High School for 11 years. I have coached wrestling for 13 years in our program—including eight years as the head coach. Over the years, I’ve also had the privilege of coaching Middle School Football, Strength and Conditioning, and serving in other various roles and committees throughout our district.
STMA is an uncommon community. I have seen firsthand the relentless hard work, dedication, and grit that our students, staff, and families pour into preparing our kids for the future. I love our schools, and I am deeply passionate about this new opportunity to serve our Middle School West students, staff and families.
A little about my background:
Education: B.S. in Social Studies Education & B.A. in Political Science (St. Cloud State, where I also wrestled); M.A. in Educational Leadership (St. Mary’s University); Ed.S. in School Administration (Concordia-St. Paul).
Family: My wife (Rachelle) and I have two children, a daughter named Joey (6) and a son named Jonah (2). As a family, we love outdoor activities and showing up to support all things STMA.
Every new school year brings a wealth of opportunities for growth, learning, and development. Middle School West has an incredibly strong network of educators, support staff, and specialists but the most critical piece of that network is you.
Education is a team sport, and I firmly believe that our students thrive when schools and families work hand-in-hand. I look forward to partnering closely with you to ensure our students have the support, encouragement, and accountability they need to discover their own versions of success.
I cannot wait to get to work with your students. Let’s make it a great year.
Go Knights!
