This week students learned about fire prevention. We were blessed to have the Keene Fire Department here this week, reminding us how to keep save during a fire. We learned what we would do if their is a house fire and were reminded of the importance of having an escape plan. It was a student highlight to tour the fire trucks and receive goodie bags.

We had a lot of fun this week celebrating with Mrs. Patterson as she revealed the gender her baby. We discovered that she will be having a boy!

KAES students have been getting ready for this special event that will happen in just about a week. Preparations are being made but we need your help. Please take a moment and fill out the survey that is linked below. It is just five short questions and it will be very helpful as we prepare for this event.

The childrens' choir director will be here to practice with our students this Monday and Tuesday at KAES.

Students in science class planted box gardens 1st quarter and now are starting to see the vegetables of their labors.

This week the 8th grade was able to experience immigration on a very personal level as they went through a simulation of what it would have been like to immigrate to America in the early 1900's. Each had to stay in character as they went through the immigration process.

Lunch order is to be placed with the homeroom teacher each day. $4.25 small $5.00 large

All meals are vegetarian

Monday - Quesadillas, rice and beans, salad and a drink

Tuesday - Macaroni and cheese, veggies, garlic bread and a drink

Wednesday - Breakfast burritos (eggs, beans and potato), pancakes and fruit

Thursday - Baked Potato, cheese, butter, sour cream, corn chips, bread and salad

Friday - Hot dog, French fries, apple, dessert and juice
