As we begin school, the construction continues. I'm sure your children have told you all about the differences between last year and this year around Salford Hills! There are many!

Moving into the next phase of construction, our contractors will be working outside on the addition for our new library. Meanwhile, all the interior construction will happen on second shift starting right after the students leave. There will be a few contractors working on the inside of the school during the day to tweak control settings on the new HVAC and electrical systems.

School is just around the corner, and the District has been busy preparing student 1-to-1 devices for instructional use during the upcoming school year. Starting with the 2025-2026 school year, there is a new process for how families will receive their annual student/parent mobile device use agreement/fee. Families will receive an e-mail from Souderton Area SD (webstores@revtrak.net) with an invoice for their student’s mobile device fee. The subject of the e-mail will be "Fee Invoice".

Families will be able to complete their agreement/pay their fee online through the District’s Online Payments system. For families who would like to pay their invoice via cash/check, agreements can be printed and payment made in-person.

Families will receive instructions for completing the agreement and paying the fee via e-mail on the date invoices are sent. No action is necessary today.

Devices will be distributed to students during the first week of school.

If you have any questions, please contact the Salford Hills Elementary School office at 610-287-9197.

We are Looking for Homeroom Parent Coordinators for Each Class!

The primary responsibility of Homeroom Parent Coordinators is to work closely with the teacher in organizing the 3 class Socials for the 2025/26 school year. All socials run from 2-3 PM. Prior to each Social, you will create an email to be sent home to all the parents in your class. This is usually sent from the teacher directly to the parents of each child in their class with your name as contact.

If you are interested in becoming a Homeroom Parent Coordinator for your child’s classroom, please fill out the Google Form below by Friday, September 12th. One HR Parent Coordinator will be randomly selected per class. Parents can only be selected as a HR Parent Coordinator for one classroom per school year. The HSA Board will contact you by Sept. 16th if you have been selected. If you have any questions, please email the HSA Board at board@salfordhillshsa.org.

Homeroom Parent Coordinators are responsible for organizing and supervising the 3 classroom socials throughout the school year:

  • Fall Social on Friday Oct. 31st at 2pm

  • Winter Social on Tuesday, December 23rd at 2pm

  • Valentine's Day Social on Thursday, February 12th at 2pm

The HR Parent Coordinator will be responsible for submitting the following to the teacher a minimum of one (1) week prior to each Social for approval: (1) the names of the 4 Social Volunteers attending the social and (2) the plans for the social including the craft to be made, games to be played, and food/drinks to be served.

  • A maximum of 4 total volunteers (including the HR Parent Coordinator) may attend each social. A form will go home soon in your child’s communicator where parents may send in a $5 donation and indicate their interest in being a Social Volunteer. The Socials are to be divided as equally as possible amongst the parents. However, if an amicable decision cannot be reached regarding which parent(s) will attend each Social, disputes can be taken to the HSA Board. Classroom teachers are NOT to be involved in this matter.

  • No siblings are permitted to attend the socials. Thank you for understanding! As always, we appreciate your willingness to help at Salford Hills!

Thank You,
