Letter from Our Principal
Dear LPS Families,
We are only four days away from the first day of school!
I could not be prouder of our incredible teachers! They have poured their hearts into preparing for our students—participating in meaningful professional development, collaborating with one another, and finding new ways to make learning engaging and impactful. Their commitment goes far beyond lesson plans; they are dedicated to knowing every student, building strong relationships, and helping each child grow academically and personally. The energy, passion, and love they are bringing into this school year are truly inspiring. Our students are in the hands of an exceptional team, and I am confident this will be our best year yet!
Please join us for our Back-to-School Bash on Monday, August 10, 2026, as we celebrate the start of an exciting new school year. We can’t wait to welcome our students and families back!
With Lion Heart and Strength of Mind,
Wendy Craft
Back to School Bash
Get ready for the Back-to-School Bash! This exciting event is designed to help students and families start the school year off strong. Students can pick up their schedules, walk their class schedules, and get comfortable with campus before the first day of school.
Parents will have the opportunity to drop off updated immunization records, set up their Ascender Parent Portal account, create or update their MySchoolBucks account, and pay any applicable school fees. Campus tours will also be available for new students and families. Juniors and Seniors can pay for their parking pass and get their off campus lunch paperwork.
The Back-to-School Bash is your one-stop shop for getting ready for an amazing school year. Don't miss this fun and informative event—we can't wait to welcome everyone back to Leadership Prep School!

Back to School Reminders for Parents from Officer McQueen
As we begin the new school year, we encourage families to have conversations with their children about making safe and responsible choices. A few important reminders:
- Words matter. Threats made in person, through text messages, social media, gaming platforms, or other electronic communication are taken seriously and may result in school discipline and a criminal investigation.
- Think before you post. Digital messages and social media activity can often be recovered, even if deleted, and may be used as evidence during an investigation.
- Know the law. In Texas, children 10 years of age and older may be referred to the juvenile justice system for criminal offenses.
- Law enforcement investigations. If the Frisco Police Department is investigating a potential crime, Texas law does not require a parent or guardian to be present before officers speak with a juvenile. Depending on the circumstances, officers may question a student as part of their investigation.
- Criminal charges. If law enforcement establishes probable cause that a criminal offense has occurred, a student may face juvenile or criminal charges. This includes conduct on campus, off campus, online, and driving-related offenses on or around school property.
- See something, say something. Encourage your child to report safety concerns to a trusted adult, school administrator, or law enforcement.
Our goal is to educate—not to alarm. By working together and having open conversations at home, we can help students understand that their words, choices, and actions have real consequences while maintaining a safe and positive learning environment for everyone. Lastly, we encourage you to watch the video below with your child.
