Hello Palmer Students, Families, and Staff,
The Palmer renovation project—as you can all see and feel—is well underway! The former Tech Building has now been demolished, and the site is being prepared for the foundation of our new academic building. Over the coming months, you’ll begin to see crews pouring concrete piers, completing geothermal boring, and beginning underground utility work—all key steps toward bringing our design vision to life.
If you’d like to refresh yourself on what’s coming, new design sketches and interactive 3D views of the spaces are now available!

El proyecto de renovación de Palmer, como todos pueden ver y sentir, ¡está muy avanzado! El antiguo edificio Tech ha sido demolido y se está preparando el terreno para los cimientos de nuestro nuevo edificio académico. Construction Update: What’s Happening Now
Here’s a look at construction milestones for fall:
Demolition of the Tech Building — complete
Surveys and site preparation — complete
Foundation excavation — underway
Concrete piers — drilling and pouring through October and November
Geothermal boring and underground utilities — continuing into winter
This work lays the foundation—literally and figuratively—for Palmer’s new academic addition, opening December 2026, followed by renovations to the historic 1939 building, beginning summer 2026. The final interior work is scheduled for completion by December 2027.

Actualización de la construcción: ¿Qué está pasando ahora?
A continuación, se presentan los hitos de la construcción para el otoño:
- Demolición del edificio Tech: completada.

Action Needed: Student Parking Permits
As construction shifts campus access, all student drivers must request a permit and display a free parking sticker for the remainder of this school year.
Who needs a permit?
Students who currently drive or plan to drive this year and park in one of the following areas:
- Auxiliary Gym/North Lot
- Cheyenne Avenue stalls (Diag)
- Street parking near Erps Gym
Deadline: Friday, October 17
How to get your permit:
Pick up a parking permit form from the Business Office.
Complete the form with a parent/guardian.
Return it to the Business Office.
Receive and display your free parking sticker when parking in the listed areas.

Acción necesaria: Permisos de estacionamiento para estudiantes
Debido a que las obras de construcción modifican el acceso al campus, todos los estudiantes que conduzcan deberán solicitar un permiso y exhibir una pegatina de estacionamiento gratuito durante el resto del año escolar.
¿Quién necesita un permiso?
Los estudiantes que actualmente conducen o planean conducir este año y aparcan en una de las siguientes zonas:
- Gimnasio auxiliar/aparcamiento norte.
- Plazas de Cheyenne Avenue (Diag).
- Aparcamiento en la calle cerca del gimnasio Erps.
Fecha límite: viernes, 17 de octubre
Cómo obtener su permiso:
- Recoge un formulario de permiso de estacionamiento en la Oficina Comercial.
- Rellena el formulario con un padre/tutor.
- Devuélvelo a la Oficina Comercial.
- Recibe y muestra tu pegatina de estacionamiento gratuito cuando estaciones en las zonas indicadas.
