Last PBIS School-Wide Celebration - Monday, June 15

Last Day of School - Tuesday, June 16 (this is a full day of school)

We have had continued problems with students wearing flip flops or slide shoes and they are coming off at recess as the run and play. This is a safety concern. As stated in our Student Handbook (see link below in Parent Resources), it states "Children must wear appropriate footwear at all times." If the flip flops or slides are not staying on their feet, I would say it is not appropriate footwear for school. Please let me know if you have any questions.

We will be having our Field Day on Friday, June 5 from 1:00-2:30 pm (rain date is Tuesday, June 9). Please make sure your child wears sneakers that day and has a water bottle. You may send sunscreen for them if you choose to, however we cannot allow students to share sunscreen with friends. You will receive more information coming at the beginning of next week. Be sure to watch for it in your child's red folder!

We will have a brief celebration for our 3rd Grade students moving on next year on Thursday, June 11th at 2:00 pm in the Vine Street gym. We hope 3rd grade families are able to join us!

We met our 95% attendance goal again this week!! Thank you for the effort you make each day to support your child’s attendance. These final weeks of school are very important as students continue learning, participate in special activities, and prepare for next year. Every day counts as we finish the year strong together!

Weekly Attendance:

PreK - 100%

Kindergarten - 95.00%

First Grade - 94.89%

Second Grade - 96.88%

Third Grade - 91.67%

School Wide - 95.00%

Congratulations to PreK, Kindergarten and Second Grade for meeting your 95% attendance goal!! Your bee moved up another notch closer to your flower!! Second Grade made it to the top of their flower and so they will have a special treat next week! 🐝🌼🎉
