Winnona Park Weekly Update
May 14, 2026
Dear Winnona Park families,
We are continuing our tradition: Decatur High School graduating seniors who attended Winnona Park will participate in tomorrow’s Community Circle, with their parents in attendance. The current WP crew will line the halls as the seniors, wearing their graduation regalia, stroll through the school towards the cafeteria. Once everyone is situated, Community Circle will begin. We already have parents who were in past Community Circle bands lined up to accompany seniors, who will lead the crew in each song.
This will be a great moment for our alumni and their parents before they head off to their graduation on Saturday. It will also be a great experience for our current students to witness. In 10 short years (it will go faster than you think), 2nd-grade students and parents will also have this amazing opportunity.
Tomorrow’s Community Circle is in the afternoon to accommodate the graduating seniors and is open only to the parents of the WP alumni.
Sincerely,
Gregory Wiseman
Principal, Winnona Park Elementary School
