Take Flight 🦅

Thanks to everyone who stopped by the Commons on Tuesday, January 13th to participate in the Catch Your Dreams activity. Those who did shared a dream and decorated a dreamcatcher! Hope to see you at next month's Student Activities event!

Last Thursday, students from West Leyden's SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) club attended a WSC (West Suburban Conference) story exchange workshop at Glenbard West High School. The students joined together to participate in community building games and exchange personal stories. The event was facilitated by Narrative 4, an organization whose mission is to help young people harness the power of stories to drive change in their communities.

On Saturday, January 17th, 60 East and West students in the Ski & Snowboard Club braved the cold at the Little Switzerland Resort in Slinger, Wisconsin, for a day of skiing and snowboarding. Some students took their first lessons, while others were more experienced on the slopes, but all had a fantastic time. Ski and Snowboard Club's next meeting is on Thursday, February 5th, after school, in room 206, and their next field trip will be on Saturday, February 21st. Contact West Leyden's Ms. Amy Cobo (acobo@leyden212.org) or East Leyden's Mr. Scott Leu (sleu@leyden212.org) for more information. Come join the fun!
