It's March!
March is here! We are excited that restrictions continue to lighten so that we can find a new normal. This newsletter is full of announcement and events. Here's a few reminders from the principal's desk:
- Please remember to send your students dressed for the weather. Sunscreen, jackets, hats, gloves, etc may be needed depending on the day. Our children eat outside, so be sure to send your students prepared.
- There will be a street closure on Girard between Matteson and Venice on March 3rd from 8-2pm. This is probably a good day to walk to school.
- Speaking of walking to school, it's been brought to my attention that due to the angle of the sun, cars turning east on Washington (from Girard) are having a hard time seeing walkers crossing Washington at the Girard Crosswalk. The sun is blinding the drivers. We've notified the city, but we want you all to please be very careful. Assume that the cars cannot see you. There have been two near misses, so please take this seriously. Please.
Stay PAWSitive!
