My name is Lucie Ftorek and I am one of the School Counselors at Warren School. This is my 15th year as a school counselor and my 10th year at Warren. I love working at Warren and I'm excited to get to know your students (and you!) over the next three years.

The kindergarten crew is off to a great start! Students have been exploring the school, learning new routines, meeting teachers and making new friends. Each month I will send out a Counselor Connection newsletter with updates about our social skills lessons, resources for families and other helpful articles for families. You can always find my contact information in my newsletter - feel free to reach out!

Connect with your kids after school Connect with your kids after school

Asking questions about the school day is a great way to connect with your kids. When you ask about their day it shows that you care about them and it also shows that you support their learning. Kindergarteners are learning so much and they love to "teach" their grownups!

Open ended questions (ex: how was your day? how was school?) can be too overwhelming to answer for some kids. Try asking some of these specific questions and see what your kindergartener shares:

Questions to ask your child after school.
