The Wallin Way Weekly Newsletter
Friday, May 8th
Good Evening K9 Families,
What an amazing week it’s been at Wallin Oaks!
We wrapped up our final PTA meeting of the year, and it was such a meaningful opportunity to reflect on and celebrate all that we’ve accomplished together this year. From supporting classroom initiatives to organizing events and showing consistent care for our staff and students, we are truly grateful for the partnership we share with our school community. Thank you to our families for continuing to show up, volunteer, and invest in the success of our students and teachers.
We also had an incredible 4th and 5th-grade music and Art Show! Our students did an outstanding job showcasing their talents, singing with confidence, performing on instruments, and sharing their creativity through beautiful artwork. A special shout-out to our art teacher, Mrs. Moraga, and our music teacher, Mx. Chase, for their incredible work in preparing and guiding our students for this performance. The pride, effort, and joy on display were clear, and it was a wonderful reminder of the talent and hard work of our students and staff who supported them.
As we head into the final days of the school year, we are excited to kick off our “Wallin Oaks” Countdown! Each of the final 10 days will feature a special theme day for students and staff to enjoy together. Check out the flyer below for the theme for each of the 10 days!
Thank you for your continued partnership, and we hope you have a wonderful weekend!

School Information
Attendance and Transportation Reminders
We kindly ask all families to notify both the classroom teacher and the main office if your student will be absent for any reason. Clear communication helps us ensure accurate attendance records and maintain a safe, organized school environment.
Additionally, if there are any changes to your child’s transportation plans—such as switching from a bus rider to a car rider—please inform the main office directly. Our office staff will relay the information to the appropriate teacher.
Lastly, for the safety and efficiency of our drop-off procedure, please pull all the way forward in the car line and have students exit the vehicle on the side of the school.
Thank you for helping us keep everything running smoothly!
Pick Up and Drop Off Reminders
Morning Drop Off
For the safety of all students, we kindly ask that families do not park at Ira Jones during morning drop-off. Instead, please use the designated car line, which is designed to keep traffic moving safely and efficiently.
To help maintain a steady flow, we also ask that drivers remain in their vehicles at all times during drop-off. Following these procedures ensures a safe and smooth start to the day for everyone.
Afternoon Pick Up
Please remember to turn off your car while waiting to pick up your student after school. Running cars pose a safety risk for students and teachers walking up and down the car lines, and it's also important to reduce the fumes in the air for everyone’s health. Thank you for helping us keep our school environment safe and healthy!
