Class placement is a difficult task and one that I take quite seriously, spending a lot of time and thought on. In order to create an optimal learning environment for all of our students, it is critical that we create balanced classes! As this year ends, teachers will meet together and divide the students into their classes for next year. The teachers do not assign teachers to these class lists but focus on balancing the classes (according to a range of student abilities, behaviors, gender, and the number of students) for the next grade level. Teacher input will be one of the most significant factors in placing students. After teachers submit these lists, I will assign teachers to classes.

If you have any information you would like to share that would be helpful in placing them in a class, please email me specific concerns or information to be aware of, and I will match your child with the teacher that might best meet his/her need(s). I prefer that this does not contain a desired teacher’s name; if you feel it an absolute necessity to put down a teacher’s name, please do so if you have a request to NOT be placed with a specific teacher or with a specific student. Please email this information by Monday, June 9, 2025. Class lists are made long before school starts again in the Fall!

Occasionally, individuals will share that they have heard a teacher is good, please know that we have amazing teachers here at Maple Ridge. Teachers on each grade level spend a great deal of time working together to best meet the needs of each student. Because of the strong teams of teachers and because of some excellent newly hired teachers, I am confident that your kids will be in good hands next year.

Thank you to our awesome PTA and all of our wonderful volunteers that made this a fun day for the students! We had a great time! Due to afternoon graduations scheduled both Tuesday and Wednesday, we didn't have any flexibility, but our students loved it!

Congratulations to our Maple Ridge Graduates! Congratulations to our Maple Ridge Graduates!

We were so pleased to have some of our 2025 graduates visit us yesterday! It was amazing to see them and so fun to hear about their next steps! Also, when did they get so grown up?!?!
