Football Friday Nite Expectations
Dear Mount Vernon Parents and Guardians,
As we kick off another exciting football and Marching Band season, we want to express our deep appreciation for our community's unwavering support for our students over the years. Your enthusiasm and school spirit are what make our games truly special.
In previous seasons, we have noticed an increase in the number of unsupervised minors attending our games, which has led to some disruptive behaviors and congestion in common areas between the concession and stands. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, we are setting the expectation that all students remain in the stands during the game and not congregate in the common areas. Additionally, for this season, we are asking that elementary school students must be accompanied by a parent or adult in order to attend our high school football games. Unaccompanied minors or students who fail to adhere to administrative expectations will be escorted to the field house, where parents/guardians will be called to pick up their children.
We’re excited for a fantastic season ahead and appreciate your cooperation in helping us create a positive and secure environment for all attendees. Thank you for your continued support in making our football games a wonderful community event.
Thank You for your Support, and Go, Jackets!
William Seder Jr.
Superintendent

Pick-Up and Drop-Off Information
Click here for detailed information with pictures on the Pick-Up and Drop-Off procedure for MVMS and MVHS students.
As the weather changes, we notice more students are getting dropped off in the morning in front of the building. Here are a few reminders from the beginning of the year regarding student drop-off: Please do not drop off up at the top where buses are dropping students. This creates unnecessary traffic and safety concerns. Please do NOT drop off in the inner loop. This is for MS and HS staff parking. It is very dangerous for students to cross over the 2 lanes of traffic to get to the building-especially with it being dark.
