District School Calendar Feedback District School Calendar Feedback

Share your thoughts on our school calendar; Your feedback will help shape 2027-28 and beyond

Feedback opportunity! Please share your thoughts on our school calendar via: OsseoSchools.org/CalendarInput. Your input will directly inform our Planning Committee’s next steps as they draft calendars for 2027-28 and beyond.

Every year, Osseo Area Schools strives to build a calendar that prioritizes student learning while respecting the time and needs of our families and hardworking staff. While it’s clear there isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution, your feedback is the most important tool our team has in finding the best possible balance.

The feedback form will close at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, March 19. Questions? Reach out to info@district279.org.

Attendance Letters Attendance Letters

Please call your child in each time they are absent from school. Attendance Matters!

When your child has unexcused absences you will receive an attendance letter.

Attendance letters are issued for the following reasons:

6 or more unexcused late arrivals

3 days unexcused

7 days unexcused

15 days of illness related absences

When you receive an attendance letter you should review the attendance record and call the office if corrections are needed. Make a plan for how to improve the attendance issue. Call the school for support, if needed.

Attendance letters can make you aware of just how often your child is absent or late to school. We want to partner with you to provide the best educational experience for your child.

There are several ways to report your student absent from school

1. Call the Attendance Line 763-315-7692

2. Report through ParentVUE app - please note the reason/symptoms.

3. Call the school office 763-425-0577

Families that are non English speaking may report absences via Talking Points.

Taking vacation? Please notify the teacher AND the office prior to your vacation.

When using the ParentVUE app to report absences there is limited reasons to choose from. When selecting student/family concern, please always include a reason in the comments.

Vacations should be pre-arranged buy calling the office or emailing elmcreek@district279.org
