LMS Friends,
We hope everyone had a bit of a break over the Thanksgiving Recess. We have quickly gotten back into our routines at LMS this week.
As we transitioned back, the winter has clearly arrived on our doorstep. We have been reminding students of appropriate clothing to be outside each day. Unless it is 10 degrees, we will be going outside. Students should make sure they have what they need each day. If we can assist with cold weather gear, please be in touch with our counselors or nurse.
Just a reminder that our winter break is 12/22/21 through 1/2/22. We have just started our second trimester and we are working hard at school to keep our students focused and to leave for the winter break on positive footing academically. Your support at home is appreciated.
Enjoy this edition of the Scoop. We will publish our next Scoop on 12/17.
Have an awesome weekend!
Regards,
John P. D'Entremont, Principal
Car Drop-Off Reminders
Students can start exiting cars at 7:15 AM.
We then encourage you to drop your student off along the sidewalk in the drop-off loop. Encouraging your student to be ready to get out once the car stops with all of their items does speed up the process. 7th and 8th grade students can get out and walk down and 5th and 6th grade students can get out and walk up.
Thank you for your collective efforts keeping the drop off loop in the the morning running smoothly.

Well done students!
Latest Update by Nancy Pageau
Welcome to December!
This week, post Thanksgiving, has been very busy with students and staff reporting a variety of illness symptoms. A reminder that if your child has ANY covid symptom/symptoms, they should stay home and get tested before coming back to school. Please provide test results to the nurse.
Yes, at home covid test results are acceptable for a person with symptoms. Hopefully, some of you were able to order the free home test kits available in NH before they ran out.The state is researching getting another supply of these free tests. We will update you if/when that happens.
Each individual in a family displaying symptoms needs to be tested. We are not able to say that “a sibling tested negative and has a cold, so the other children have a cold.” I appreciate your collaboration in keeping us all healthy. It does take a village these days! I’m available during school hours for any questions you might have about covid symptoms, quarantine/isolation guidance or local testing options.
We encourage everyone who is eligible to get vaccinated. The public health network is hosting a 2nd covid vaccine clinic at LHS/HSS this Saturday, December 4th, for those students who received their 1st covid vaccine on November 13th. Information and a time for the 2nd vaccine was given out at that first clinic.
Covid Boosters:
Any NH resident who needs a covid 19 booster vaccine can sign up for the "Booster Blitz" clinic program through NH Homeland Security & Emergency Management happening at various locations across NH on Saturday, December 11th. The closest clinic to us will be in Hanover at the Richmond Middle School. To sign up for those clinics go to:
https://business.nh.gov/covidvaccineregistration/
Registration opened on 12/1.
Masks:
Masks are still required for your child at school and one of the most important mitigation measures. Children should not be arriving at school without a mask on and maybe a spare, as the days get colder and wetter. If you need cloth masks for your child, please let me know and I can provide them.
Thank You,
Nancy Pageau

Voluntary Pool Testing Signing-Up
To sign up your child, 17 years old or younger, for voluntary COVID testing, please use this link.
For staff and students who are 18 years or older please use this link to sign up for voluntary testing.
When prompted please use the following access codes:
- Lebanon Middle School: 81ZM9C
What will happen if a pool comes back positive?
We will follow this process for unconfirmed or confirmed positive cases:
If by chance a pool comes back positive, we will notify the staff and the families of those students in the pool that there is an unconfirmed positive case.
Students/staff in the pool will be asked to monitor for symptoms and will be tested two days later.
After the follow-up testing, those in the pool will be notified of either the negative or positive result.
The person who tested positive will be asked to isolate and close contacts will be notified per the procedures we have been following since the start of the pandemic. The Superintendent will also inform the larger community of the positive test result.
