CHANGE CHANGE CHANGE!!!

We want to inform you all about an important change regarding the dismissal process for our kindergarten and first grade walkers when we return to school on January 7th.

Please refer to the attached image for the designated area where you should stand to pick up your child. If your child has an older sibling, that sibling will come to them and they will leave together out of the front doors at 3:15.

I appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we implement this change to enhance our dismissal procedures.

Some information below remains the same year-round, and some will be new information with clickable links. Please read to stay in the know! :)

Important Dates:

  • December 13: Anti-victimization Puppet Show Form Due https://forms.gle/wMyuo46i68GoLJ676
  • December 20: Winter Class Parties
  • December 20 - January 7: WINTER BREAK (no school)

READING FOLDERS!

Your child's education is a shared responsibility between the teacher, family, and student. To ensure your child reaches their full academic potential, we have created Guided Reading Folders. Every student has a reading folder that will travel with them to and from school each day. In this folder, they will be receiving book, along with their sight words to practice at home. Please send this folder back DAILY! The books inside belong to Frisco ISD and if not returned, must be paid for. PLEASE place it back in the folder each night after reading it. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! YOU ROCK!

PLEASE TEACH THESE SKILLS AT HOME:

1. Please practice tying and untying shoes at home!

2. Please practice putting on and zipping up a jacket!

3. Please keep and extra change of underwear, pants, socks, shirt, etc. in a ziploc bag in your child's backpack in case of spills and accidents, which are COMMON in Kindergarten! :)

Snack Reminders Snack Reminders

We have snack time from 2:05 - 2:10 . Please pack a healthy, utensil-free snack separately from their lunch. Please DO NOT put snacks in your child's lunchbox. They do get the two confused and often eat their snack for lunch and lunch for their snack. Pack separately and have a conversation about the difference with your child. Thank you!

TIP: label "snack" and put it in the front pouch of their backpack! Quick, easy, healthy snacks are best! No nuts, please!
