Hoyne Happenings
Happy Monday Pembroke Families,
Last week we celebrated our AMAZING paraprofessionals & School Librarian for Paraprofessional and Librarian Appreciation days. Our paraprofessionals and school librarian are an integral part of our school culture and community. We are beyond privileged to have such a helpful and caring support team. They go above and beyond, to support not only our students, but our other staff members as well.
This week, we will be celebrating Inclusion Week at Pembroke. At Respect Circle, last week we shared our spirit days and more about inclusion. This is a time to recognize the importance of making sure everyone feels valued, respected and accepted. Inclusion means no matter who you are, where you come from, or how you learn, you belong!
Lastly, although we still have plenty of time left in this school year, we are beginning to make preparations for next school year already. You’ll see the 2025-2026 Student Placement form below. Please take a moment to complete this if there’s anything specific you’d like us to know about your student’s learning style or environment. As a reminder, no teacher requests can be made. Families only need to fill out this form if there is information you would like to share about a learning environment that would work best for your child.
Don't forget this Wednesday, April 9th is a half day of school. Dismissal is at 11:50 am. Have a great week!

Classroom Environment Form
During spring, thoughts turn to the 2025-2026 school year and the student placement process. The student placement process is a team effort conducted with great care and consideration of the growth and development of all students. A balance of character strengths, academic ability, social-emotional growth, individual and instructional needs are taken into consideration.
Any information about your child that you, as parents, may wish to share that will help us make our decision will be taken into consideration. If you would like to share information about your child, you may use this form. Please do not request an individual teacher or include names of students other than your own. Rather, we ask you to give us additional information that will help us select the right classroom for your child. It is important to note that with or without information from parents/guardians, the staff will review each student's needs individually and select the learning environment in which we believe he/she will learn best.
If you wish to share information, please complete this form by Tuesday, April 22nd 2025. Please note that families do not need to fill this form out, it is only necessary if you have information you would like to share with the team.
