Principal's Weekly Update

Dear Wildcat Families,

There is no school on Monday - we are looking forward to a short week with our first school dance on Friday!

Please take a moment to read the important message about school safety sent out recently by the district, and we encourage you to review it with your student(s).

With a rise in inappropriate and disruptive behavior at school, we want to highlight this section:

"Hold your child accountable for their behavior and help them understand the importance of safety and personal responsibility, both at school and in the community."

PE Uniforms

With our gym open, we are getting ready to start using our changing rooms! We will be selling combination locks for $5 on campus during PE class starting in a couple of weeks. Students can also alternatively buy/bring their own lock for their locker.

PE uniforms are now available for purchase at our school store:

PE shirt (gray) long sleeve available as well
PE shorts (black)
PE sweats (black)

Great ShakeOut Drill

On October 16th, our school will participate in the Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drill, a nationwide event designed to teach students how to stay safe during an earthquake. During the drill, students will practice the “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” procedure to help them respond quickly and safely in the event of real seismic activity. This is an important opportunity to reinforce emergency preparedness both at school and at home. Thank you for supporting our efforts to keep our students safe and informed!

Fall Sports

This past week, we hosted our last set of home games for the fall sports season against PSA. Our volleyball team lost, and our flag football team got their first win of the season!

8th grade volleyball players were honored at the beginning of the game as this is their last home game of their middle school careers.

FINAL DAY FOR BLACKLIGHT BASH DANCE PERMISSION FORMS + PAYMENT

Permission form and payment must be received by TODAY: Friday, October 10 for student to get added to the approval attendee list!
PTO will be on campus before and after school tomorrow (10/10) for final in person ticket sales and permission form collection.
The online Blacklight Bash Permission Form + online payment via Venmo or CashApp will remain available in the evening until 11:59 PM Friday (10/10) night.

In addition to being on the approved attendee list, students must bring their school ID to the dance or they will not be allowed to enter.

DANCE VOLUNTEER/DONATION HELP NEEDED

Thank you to everyone who already signed up to help set up the night before the event and at the dance! We still have openings for a few additional dance night volunteers, and we are also looking for assistance with Snack Shack donations. If you are able to help, please use the sign-up links below—we appreciate you!
