Library News
We just scheduled our very first author visit of the year. On Friday, October 10, College Heights will host author and former educator/school librarian Dan Gemeinhart, who will talk to Pre-K students about his newest book, The Gingerbread Monster. Families can order a signed copy of this book through a form that's going home this week (or click here to download it), and a portion of book sales will benefit College Heights.
Thank you so much to the families who have reached out and requested library books for their students. I hope more of you will do this! Email me a list of your child's latest favorite things/books/authors/illustrators, and I will curate a selection of books to go home through their backpack. Your family can keep these books for two weeks. It's that easy!
This week's books:
Tiny T. Rex and the First-Day Oopsies by Jonathan Stutzman, illustrated by Jay Fleck
Pete the Cat's Wacky Taco Tuesday by Kimberly and James Dean
Every Monday Mabel by Jashar Awan
Ducks Away! by Mem Fox and Judy Horacek

On the Early Release Day, all our Pre-K teachers sharpened their skills through a professional learning session on the "Handwriting Without Tears" readiness and writing program.
