Last week started the 30 day attendance challenge. Each week, the grade with the best attendance will not only receive a prize but also be entered into our end-of-the-year celebration.

UPDATE- 8TH GRADE BOOTCAMP, TUESDAY, 5/27, 8:30AM-4:30PM

• 8th Graders MUST be at MCP by 8AM
• Buses on each MCP campus will begin boarding no later than 8:15AM
• Buses will take MCP 8th Graders to UWM and return to MCP by 4:30PM
• MCP Scholars MUST wear their MCP polo uniform (polos, khakis, sneakers...NO EXCEPTIONS)
• Lunch will be provided
• There will be chaperones on site
• Scholars will follow the NO CELL policy (chaperones will collect cells phones at the beginning of the day and will return them to scholars on the bus heading home)
• Just like at MCP, we EXPECT our scholars to "Operate in Excellence" at all times, in ALL times
• If your scholar cannot attend the 8BC, they should not attend school that day

• We love to have parent volunteers help out in the school! If you have time free during the school day and would like to help us with tutoring, copying, cutting, laminating, or any of the other tasks that it takes to make a school run smoothly. To volunteer, we ask that you follow the following process:

• If you are interested in volunteering to chaperone an upcoming field trip, please contact your child’s teacher
• Alumni who would like to volunteer should seek pre-approval from that campus’ Principal at least 48 hours in advance

UWM Mini-Courses Summer Exploration Camp: Summer Opportunity for Middle School Students!

The University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee is offering an exciting two-week summer camp for students entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade in Fall 2025! It also requires students to have a 2.0 core grade point average.

50 Spots fill quickly first come first serve—don’t miss out!

Attached is the flyer for registration for the 24-25 Y-Care registration.

Starting Jan. 6th the Y will be providing Before Care 6:30 - 7:30

Any students that arrive early must be signed up for the Y

Anyone registering on Monday and Tuesday will not be able to start until that week Wednesday.

If they register on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday they will start the following Monday.

Registration will be online only this year. Parents need to follow the instructions on page 2 of the flyer to log into their account and then create a profile for each child. Any questions regarding registration should go to schoolage@ymcamke.org or 414-274-0759

A few important pieces of information:

All registration is online. No paper copies accepted.

We will start care on Tuesday, September 2nd. This is stated on the brochure and will be in the email confirmation sent once families are registered.
