Good morning Huskie Families,
It's the final week of classroom competitions for our membership drive! Your support allows us to invest into programs and activities to support our students' education. Please consider supporting our efforts by joining the PTA.
K-3 Families – Don’t miss out on this weekend’s event at Ultimate Ninjas Academy. 40% of proceeds will go back to the PTA.
The PTA Art Reflections Program is accepting submissions now through October 17. This year’s theme is “I Belong.” All students are eligible to participate, encourage your kids to get creative!
Finally, Anti-Bully week is just around the corner. We are excited to welcome the Pro-Kids Show on October 6 to kick off this week of awareness.

Class competitions wrap up this week. Kindergarten is holding onto their lead, but 5th and 3rd grades dropped down in the chase as 2nd and 1st reach for the win! Register today to help your students’ classes win!
At the end of our membership campaign, the top classroom at every grade level will win $20 for their classroom, the top classroom overall will win an additional $50. The top grade will receive a special treat for all students.
Your involvement can be as much or little as you wish, but your membership alone goes a long way toward our ability to provide opportunities for our Spring Brook Community throughout the year.

Please join us for our monthly PTA meeting this Thursday, September 25 at 9:30am in the Spring Brook Multipurpose Room. In addition to our usual monthly updates, we are lucky to have Dr. Hoyle Ross, Spring Brook's LMC Director, joining us for a presentation about our LMC.
Younger children are welcome to join us. Coloring materials will be available to help keep them entertained.

Pick up your flowers on Thursday, September 26 from 2 - 6 p.m. at the Breckenridge Clubhouse (2852 Breckenridge Lane).
We are excited to partner with Ultimate Ninjas Academy in Naperville (owned by a former Spring Brook parent) for an open play fundraiser event for students in grades K, 1, 2, and 3 this Sunday, September 28. Open play offers challenges for ninjas with the assistance of an adult - hanging obstacles such as our monkey bars, trapeze bars, rock wall, and more - as seen on TV, just smaller!
Book one hour of open play for $20 and 40% of sales will be donated to the Spring Brook Elementary PTA.

Ultimate Ninjas Academy

While the gym caters to crawlers through age 7, this event is limited to Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students.
Anti-Bully Week: 10/6 - 10/10
We are excited to kickoff our upcoming Anti-Bully week with a fun new assembly. Tim Hannig’s Pro-Kids Show will perform at our in-school kickoff assembly on October 6. Tim Hannig connects with kids through his award-winning magic, comedy, music, puppets & audience involvement.
Tim performs in schools throughout the country, and has also performed for Six Flags Theme Parks, The Country Music Association, and twice at The White House.

Keller's Farmstand Fundraising Days
Bring your family to Keller's Farmstand in Oswego this October! Enjoy fall fall activities, including a 12-acre corn maze, wagon rides, pumpkin and apple picking, and more, while earning money for our school. Fundraising dates will take place from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on the following days:
- Saturday, October 11
- Sunday, October 12
- Monday, October 13
A portion of the proceeds - 25% of ticket sales - will go to the PTA! Bring or show the attached flyer to ensure we get credit!
PTA Reflections Art Program
PTA Reflections is a great way to encourage your child's creativity outside of the classroom. Students are invited to reflect on the theme "I Belong!" and create an original work of art, literature, music, choreography, film and/or photography.
All Spring Brook participants will be celebrated at an awards breakfast in November. Sign up here to receive the entry form and more information on how to participate. Entries are due Friday, Oct. 17.
