Welcome to Our Last Voyage at TMS!
Dear Topsail Middle School Families,
Welcome back to another exciting school year at Topsail Middle School! We hope you had a wonderful summer and are ready for a year filled with learning, growth, friendships, and unforgettable memories.
As we begin this school year, we are especially excited to share that this will be a very special year for our TMS Pirate family. Our goal this year is to make every day count. We want our students to feel connected, supported, challenged, and proud to be a Pirate. Whether it is in the classroom, on the athletic field, in the arts, or through one of the many activities offered at TMS, we encourage every student to get involved, build relationships, and make memories that will last a lifetime.
Please take a few minutes to review the important information below and save the key dates to your calendar.

New this year: All absence notes must be submitted electronically through Infinite Campus.
- π± Please submit your studentβs absence note through Infinite Campus.
- π« Do not send a written note with your student to school.
- β° Please submit absence documentation as soon as possible following your studentβs absence.
- β Using Infinite Campus will help us process absence documentation more efficiently and keep attendance records accurate.
Why Does Attendance Matter?
- π Academic Success β Students who attend regularly are more likely to stay on track with lessons, assignments, and assessments.
- π§ Learning Gaps β Missing school can create gaps in understanding that become harder to overcome over time.
- π€ Relationships & Belonging β Consistent attendance helps students build strong relationships with teachers, classmates, and the school community.
- π― Future Success β Regular attendance develops responsibility, time management, and habits that are important for college, careers, and life.
- π« School Achievement β Strong attendance contributes to improved school performance, graduation rates, and overall school culture.
Every day matters. Every minute matters. Every student matters!
