👀Principals' Peek at the Week👀
Happy Friday Slater Families!
Next week marks the beginning of our student government elections (voting on Friday) - please let your child know it is not too late to get involved. Student government is a great opportunity to add student voice to our school community and build essential leadership skills that may be carried throughout their lives (plus...there are snacks at the meetings😉).
We are planning to hold our "Club Day" on September 17th. This is an opportunity for students to learn about our club offerings at FHU. I have also added several posters below advertising events outside of our school community that may be of interest to families. My consistent message to our students is to "get involved." In my experience, being involved (whether in sports, clubs, our outside-of-school organizations) is the key to a fulfilling high school experience.
Finally, please check out the video below (or go directly to THIS WEBPAGE) to learn how to access our student weekly announcements. This is a great additional source to help keep students (and families) updated on what's going on at FHU.
Have a great weekend!

The Rutland Squadron of Civil Air Patrol will be having an Open House Meeting on Thursday, September 27th, from 6pm to 8:30pm. The cadet program is for young people ages 12-18.
The cadet program is a unique opportunity for young people in the area. Cadets explore their interests in aviation with stem activities, orientation flights in both powered and glider aircraft, and special activities. Cadets who want to earn their pilot's license also have some special opportunities in the program. They also train in emergency services and disaster relief as well as community service opportunities. Cadets learn military drill and ceremonies and participate in physical fitness training as well.
The squadron building is located at 1002 Airport Rd, Clarendon, VT.
You can visit their Facebook page for additional information https://www.facebook.comgroups/civilairpatrolRutland or
