Blue Rapids Elementary
It's all blue skies in Blue Rapids
It was a great week at Blue Rapids Elementary. The building had their picture retakes this week. A big shout out to Courtney Dummermuth for all her hard work to make picture day and retakes a success. On Friday, we completed a fire drill in conjunction with our mandatory drill protocols. Wednesday was a big day in the building as the Jr. High and High School students were in the building for a day of service. They had rotations and special activities for the elementary students as well as did clean up activities around the building. (Please see pictures below.) A huge shout out to all the students for their hard work and to Sammie Parker and Caley Gallimore for their hard work in bringing this together. Wednesday night was also our fall SITE council meeting. Mr. Spoonts gave facilities updates, Mrs. deBoer talked about Title 1 funds and I gave a state assessment update. There was good discussion and information given out that night.
As always, thank you for the privilege and blessing that it is to work with your children. My door is always open if you have any concerns or you need to visit.
