The Pritchett Post -- 10/16/26
Home of the Panthers!
Dear Pritchett Families,
Thank you for joining us for our Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences this week! It was wonderful connecting with so many of you to celebrate our students' growth and strengthen our partnership between home and school.
During our meetings, we were proud to share your children's strengths and early work toward grade-level standards. We also loved discussing their social-emotional growth, learning habits, and how our Panthers demonstrate positive expectations every day.
Thank you for your ongoing support, your thoughtful questions, and everything you do at home to help our students thrive. Together, our diverse Panther community makes Pritchett such a special place to learn and grow!
For your children,
Dr. Matt K. Moreland, Principal

Pritchett Family Reading Night
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent Family Book Club event!
Our Panthers had a wonderful time reading Luigi, the Spider Who Wanted to Be a Kitten by Michelle Knudsen. After the story, students created a fun hands-on craft to explore how spiders move, followed by an exciting spider fact scavenger hunt through our school hallways.
A special thank you to Ms. Boznos and Ms. Blair for arranging such a memorable and engaging event for our community. We appreciate all they do to foster a love of reading at Pritchett!
October Reading Challenge
Ms. Boznos invites all students to participate in this October's Reading Challenge! Click on the flyer below to see what Ms. Boznos has prepared! Please note that books read by parents count. Happy reading!!
In addition to this month's reading challenge, Ms. Boznos has partnered with Mrs. Goldstein, Tripp School's Librarian, for the annual tissue box decorating contest! Participants are challenged to decorate a tissue box like one of their favorite book characters! Please see the additional flyer below for specifics.

FIRSTact Bus Monitoring System
First Student has implemented a new bus monitoring system called FIRSTacts. This system quickly and efficiently captures inappropriate behavior and instantly shares it with Dr. Moreland and Mrs. Robinson. Students who are reported will receive communication through email regarding their child's misconduct. Various disciplinary measures will be issued including suspension from riding the school bus.
To ensure the safest transportation possible for all of our students, please take a moment to review the following bus etiquette with your child:
- Remain seated, facing forward
- K-3 students must sit in their assigned seat
- No eating or drinking on the bus
- Use inside voices
If you have specific questions about FIRSTActs please reach out to our Director of Transportation, Ms. Denise Koto (dkoto@d102.org) or First Student.
A Note from the Nurse
Hello Pritchett families,
Students are already getting sick! Please see the drop down for "Should My Child Stay Home From School?" on the Health Services website if you are not sure if they should stay home. If your student will be absent, please leave a voicemail at our attendance line at (847)353-5703.
