"In a world where you can be anything, be kind." β Unknown
Dear Dealey Dragons,
This week we celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Week, and I cannot think of a more fitting reminder for our Montessori & International Academy community.
Kindness at Dealey is not random β it is intentional.
π Montessori + International Mindedness = Kindness in Action
In a Montessori environment, students learn that grace and courtesy are foundational life skills. They practice:
-
Speaking respectfully
-
Moving thoughtfully in shared spaces
-
Helping a classmate without being asked
-
Taking responsibility for their learning environment
Dr. Montessori believed education builds not only intelligence, but peace. When our students choose kindness, they are living the Montessori philosophy daily.
As an International Academy, our students also develop global citizenship. They learn to:
-
Appreciate diverse cultures and languages
-
Value multiple perspectives
-
Lead with empathy
-
Build bridges across differences
Kindness is how global leaders are formed. π
Kindness is how peace begins.
Kindness is how community thrives.

πβ¨ Book Vending Machine Official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony β¨π
Tomorrow we will celebrate another major milestone for literacy at Dealey!
Book Vending Machine Unveiling
π Location: Dealey Montessori
π
Date: Tuesday, February 17, 2026
β° Time: 9:00 AM
Program Summary
The Dallas Education Foundation, as part of its strategic initiative to advance literacy by curating home libraries for Dallas ISD students, partnered with Atmos Energy to secure a fully-stocked book vending machine for our campus.
This incredible resource will allow students to earn gold coins and select high-interest books to build their personal home libraries β reinforcing reading achievement and fostering a lifelong love of literacy.
Tomorrowβs ceremony will serve as our official unveiling and an opportunity to show appreciation to Atmos Energy for their meaningful investment in our students.
π Honoring Our Scouts π
We are also proud to honor our Scouts on campus during this special event!
All Scouts have been asked to wear their uniforms and join us for the celebration. π
Our Scouts exemplify leadership, service, citizenship, and kindness β values that align beautifully with both Montessori principles and our International Academy mission. We look forward to recognizing them as special guests during this ceremony.
Kindness is sharing knowledge.
Kindness is building readers.
Kindness is investing in children.
As we celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Week, I encourage our entire community:
Choose patience.
Choose grace.
Choose encouragement.
Choose kindness β especially when it is not easy.
Because in a world where you can be anythingβ¦
Be a Dealey Dragon. Be kind.
With pride and gratitude,
Loveβ€οΈ Principal Amber Garrett
