Hello Westpark Middle School Warrior Families!

• 🌱 The spring season gets its name from the verb "spring." It's a nod to the flowers and plants springing up, springing open, and bursting into blossom.
• 🐣 The word itself comes from the Old English word "springan," which means "to leap, burst forth, fly up; spread, grow."
• 🌸 During the 14th century, the word came to describe the spring season, the time when plants wake from their winter sleep and bloom.
• 🌅 Before that, the word "Lent" was used to describe the season: "In the past it was the main word for ‘spring.' Lent surfaced as ‘lencten,' that is, ‘lengten': the season got its name because in spring days lengthen." (full article here)

WCM is in partnership with Rightway Transportation. If you reside between 1 and 3 miles from the school your child may be eligible to receive services. If you reside more than 3 miles you may qualify for a Payment in Lieu which reimburses you for transporting your child/children to and from school.

**If your child rides the Yellow Buses please be sure to remind them that the same rules that are applied in school are also applied on the bus**

At Westpark Community Middle, we want all students to feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. Sometimes, during the adolescent years, students make a poor decision that negatively impacts other students in our building. We prefer to intervene and support the communication necessary to resolve these conflicts before they rise to the level of bullying or physical aggression. If you are made aware of a student who is experiencing conflict due to the actions of another student, please complete the form below and one of our professionals such as the school counselors, or administrators will intervene to support all students.

There are still many re-enrollment forms that have not been completed. Forms were sent home and must be returned no later than April 2nd. Completing this form ensures your student has a spot for the 2026–2027 school year.

If you are unsure or do not plan on returning next year, you must still complete the form so we can properly prepare for the upcoming school year.

Please check with your student and return the form as soon as possible.
