Dear Parents and Students,

As we approach STAAR testing, I want to take a moment to share how incredibly proud I am of our entire school community.

To our students — you have worked so hard all year long. I have seen your growth, your determination, and your willingness to keep trying even when learning felt challenging. Every time you reread a passage, practiced your strategies, or pushed yourself to understand something new, you were preparing for this moment. Believe in yourself and take your time, you are ready!

To our parents — thank you for your continued support. From ensuring your child is present each day to encouraging them to stay focused and do their best, your partnership has made a tremendous difference. Your support at home has helped build the confidence our students need to succeed.

To our teachers — I am beyond proud of the dedication, persistence, and care you show every single day. You have worked tirelessly to meet the needs of every student, using strategies, encouragement, and high expectations to help them grow. Your impact is seen in the confidence and progress of our students.

As we head into STAAR testing, remember:

• Get a good night’s sleep

• Eat a healthy breakfast

• Take your time and use the strategies you’ve learned

• Most importantly-do your very best

This is our time to shine. We are prepared, we are confident, and we are ready.

A medida que nos acercamos a las pruebas STAAR, quiero tomar un momento para expresar lo increíblemente orgullosa que estoy de toda nuestra comunidad escolar.

A nuestros estudiantes — han trabajado muy duro durante todo el año. He visto su crecimiento, su determinación y su disposición para seguir intentando incluso cuando el aprendizaje se sentía difícil. Al acercarnos a las pruebas STAAR, recuerden:

Dear Spring ISD Family,

Looking to celebrate a Spring ISD employee? Now’s your chance! You can nominate anyone serving in the district—be it a teacher, custodian, secretary, clerk, mechanic, bus driver, librarian, nurse, or counselor—for the Employee Excellence Award and honor their outstanding contributions.

Awarded by the Spring ISD Board of Trustees, this recognition honors employees who exemplify the district’s guiding principles, core values, and embody the attributes outlined in our Leadership Definition. Each month during the school year, one employee is selected, and from these honorees, a grand prize winner will be announced at the Spring ISD Employee Recognition Banquet in May. The only employees not eligible for this award are Senior Leadership Team members and members of the Board of Trustees.

We’re looking for employees who are bringing the Spring ISD mission to life and helping us reach each and every Spring ISD student. To nominate them for the Spring ISD Board of Trustees Employee Excellence Award, complete the online recognition nomination form.

As stated in the Beneke Elementary Handbook, the latest time to check your student out for the day is 2:45 p.m. After this time, we will not release students, as our staff is focused on preparing for dismissal.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and efficient dismissal process.

Beginning Monday, August 18, 2025

All car riders must be picked up by 3:45pm. The school will call parents of students who are still on campus after 3:45. Upon arrival, parents must come to the front office to sign the child out. You must have your I.D. to sign your child out after 3:45 p.m. Spring ISD police and/or Child Protective Services will be contacted for any child that is left after 4:30 pm. Parents who arrive after 4:00pm 3 or more times will be required to find a different transportation option.

All car riders have a car rider number, and parents must have the placard issued by the campus to pick students up from the car rider line.

You may not use a picture of the placard to pick up your student.

If you arrive after 3:45 PM to pick up your student up from the front office with the car rider tag, show your ID, and sign the late dismissal form.

Please be courteous and follow the procedures when using the car rider line.

The traffic pattern is designed for cars to take turns, turning into the parking lot from Briarchase Dr.

Please do not form a third line down the center of the road to turn into the car rider line.

Walker A Parents, please do not block the entrance to the neighborhood. In the event of an emergency, an emergency vehicle needs access to the residents' homes. Therefore, you may not park on both sides of the entrance or the main road leading to the neighborhood.
