Happy Thanksgiving!

Dear BES Families,

We have a very short, but busy week coming up! Tomorrow is a big day for our 5th grade - they have their field trip during the day, then their first band concert at 7pm! Here's information from Mr. T:

The 5th Grade band is just about ready for their beginner’s debut concert on Monday, November 25th, 2024! Students need to report to the BES band room at 6:45 PM. The concert will start in the gymnasium at 7:00 PM. Students will promenade their way in at 6:55 PM. Students are allowed to wear nice jeans or khakis and their favorite Louisburg Wildcat purple shirt.

On Tuesday, we will host area senior citizens for our Afternoon of Gratitude. This is not open to families due to space and we thank you for understanding! Please let the seniors in your life know, we can't wait to see them!

If you or a family you know is in need of assistance this winter or holiday season, please see our Seasonal Support Newsletter below with many various resources available.

We will have no school Wednesday through Friday.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Seasonal Support Newsletter

Believe it or not, cold weather and the holiday season are fast approaching. We wanted to share with you some free resources for winter coats, Thanksgiving meal baskets and Christmas gifts (Christmas gift program is for Louisburg children birth to 18). There are deadlines to each that, again, as far away as they seem, will be here in no time. The added expense of winter coats and holiday costs can be a heavy burden. If your family could benefit from a little extra support to ease that burden, then we hope these resources will do just that! Please see our newsletter to learn about some wonderful resources! Mindset Minute

In November we will be focusing on the mindset, Attitude of Gratitude, which focuses on seeking the positives from every experience and being thankful for all you have. We will be talking about treasuring yourself, being more grateful, thanking it forward and elevating your perspective. We will be showing our gratitude to local senior citizens by inviting them to 'An Afternoon of Gratitude' where we will share our time, talents and afternoon treats with them.

Attendance and School Calendars Attendance and School Calendars

Receive an Attendance Email from School?

If you receive an attendance letter from school, it is meant to inform you of your student's absences or tardies. This way you can also keep track of the days gone and how to plan ahead to

miss fewer days.

Please take note of our school calendars when planning your family's vacations.

Attendance is a focus at BES and we want your children at school! It can be very difficult for students to get caught up sometimes when they miss for extended periods of time. For example, when a student misses a week of school, that is up to 450 minutes of math instruction they are missing!

If your family does have a trip planned, we do not provide lessons or materials ahead of those trips. Teachers will work with you to schedule times when your student can be given that instruction and guided work time to ensure mastery of skills. This may have to happen before or after school, but we will also try to work during the school day as well.

GREAT school habits now help prepare students for future success!
